Mr. Brian L. Scheele

After college at University of Washington in Seattle, Mr. Scheele began his shipping career in the Pacific North West. Brian worked diligently to rise among the industry ranks-becoming Equipment Control Manager for the PNW (Vancouver, BC, Seattle, Tacoma, and Portland, Oregon) with Japan Lines, USA, Ltd.

In 1986, Mr. Scheele relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana where he became equipment controller for Empremar Lines (Chile) TecMarine Lines (Florida), and ABC CONTAINERLINE N.V. (Antwerp, Belgium).

Mr. Scheele quickly rose to the position of Vice President Line Manager for ABC CONTAINERLINE, N.V. for the Gulf South Region. When this venerable worldwide Belgian Line/Carrier ceased operations, Mr. Scheele founded Southern Cross Shipping Co., Inc.

Mr. Scheele brings over 25 years of diverse experience to the company. From general boarding agent along the Mississippi River, to equipment control, budgeting and logistics performance, Brian's experience is invaluable all along your supply chain. Paramount, the reputation of Southern Cross Shipping Co, Inc. is beyond question.

Mr. Scheele was also a standing member of the Shipper's Council to U.S. A.I.D. in Washington D.C. in the 1990's advocating for NGO and PVO shipper rights and contracts. Brian is the President of the corporation.

Mr. Michael L. Saltzman

After college at Loyola University, New Orleans, and college in Santa Rosa, California, Mr. Saltzman began his career in retail and marketing in the Bay Area of California.

Upon Michael's return to his native Louisiana, Mr. Saltzman entered the shipping industry as a freight forwarder at Cargo Logistics. There, Michael was a project expediter, and document control administrator.

The co-founder of Southern Cross Shipping Co., Inc., Mr. Saltzman brings 13 years of active and diverse experience to the company. Mr. Saltzman is the Vice President of Customer Service and Sales at Southern Cross Shipping Co., Inc.
